After our long day out and around the city we got to spend a lot of Sunday with our family. Sunday afternoon we went to our host families cousin's house to celebrate a family members birthday. It was really fun to experience the family dynamics in another culture. There were probably 20+ family members there. The kids were running around playing while the adults were talking and laughing . They were all so welcoming and warm to us, it was a cool experience.
School has been going well so far this week. Today we were given a teaching schedule from our homeroom teacher that outlines what they would like us to cover. Since we are here for 3 weeks and teaching a good majority of the day they would like us to cover some of the content that the students are required to know. This actually makes our job a little bit easier because we know exactly what needs to be taught each day, we just have to come up with activities for the students.

This picture was taken out of window on the bus on the way to the zoo. This truck was literally inches away from us. Traffic is so scary!!
